The Red Barn, Tjøme
Built in the mid-2000s as garage, store and bathroom, the red barn is the young, plain, useful building on the property. The brief was to turn the whole of it into guest accommodation: The upstairs loft was turned into a dormitory for the client’s six grandchildren and the excising bathroom was renovated with playful candylike stripes.
The garage is under planning to be converted into a ensuite bedroom with a new pair of sliding glass doors hidden behind the current garage doors.
